Wednesday Already?

How is it Wednesday already? I know I say it all the time – but seriously, where does time go?! It’s almost mid August and I’m freaking out slightly at the fact that it’s really only 4 months to the end of the year. NO BIG DEAL. NOBODY PANIC!

In saying that though, I am pretty excited that it’s creeping up so quickly. I can’t wait for summer weather, BBQ’s, parties, Christmas and and the awesome things that usually come with the end of the year! Do you know have anything exciting planned? We have a big end of summer road trip that we’re already planning for which is going to be awesome. More details on that another time though!

Now. Before I get too carried away thinking of summer, I just wanted to share with you all my current Favourites/Un-Favourites for the week!

FAVOURITES

1/ NOURISHED LIFE. It’s a great online store loaded with natural beauty and home products that currently has FREE SHIPPING on all orders this month. Get onto it ladies. I ordered a new face wash and body wash on Thursday to pack in my gym bag, and it arrived on Monday afternoon, so it’s super quick! They also offer After Pay for purchases over $200, which is like lay by but you get your products as you’re paying it off. Great, huh? Between this shop and Flora and Fauna, my bank account is going to hate me (but at least my body will love me so whatevs).

2/ HOMEMADE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP. I have been feeling a bit under the weather this week due to lack of sleep (I’ll explain this one below in my Un-Favourites list below) and very busy work days, I have been feeling pretty crappy) and having a bit of this soup every day has honestly been a godsend. I still feel crappy, but at least my tastebuds are happy and I’m getting some nourishment in. I’ll post the recipe tomorrow so please look out for it!

3/ SEVEN DAYS SELF LOVE CHALLENGE! I had so much fun doing it and met so many lovely souls in the process. Check out the recap to see some of the lovely posts that happened!

4/ THIS BLOG POST. “Is Thin the Only Way to Health and Happiness?” by Paige Schmidt of Healthy Hits the Spot. Paige talks of her own personal experiences with this and how she’s managed to not only overcome this but help others to as well. Really great read!

UN-FAVOURITES

1/ FIREWORKS IN MY STREET/FIRES/LACK OF SLEEP. Normally I LOVE fireworks.. but not when they’re set off in my street right outside our apartment block at odd hours of the night. The first time was Monday morning at 4am. They went off so loudly and it scared both myself and Jared and poor Severus was so startled, we couldn’t find him for a while because he was hiding from it. We couldn’t see who started it as they had driven off.

The second time it happened early Tuesday morning just before 3am. We were startled awake again, but this time noticed that a tree right near our apartment had caught fire from the fireworks. I called the fire brigade and our neighbours were down there doing their best to keep it under control before the firey’s got there. They were luckily there in under 10 minutes, but it was pretty chaotic in our little street for a while. There were people everywhere, lights from the fire truck were streaming through our windows, police turned up not long afterwards and Severus was shaking because he was so scared from all the lights and noise and we couldn’t get back to sleep for quite some time.

So yeah, this was me by last night:

2/ SHOTS. I had some on the weekend and was promptly reminded the next morning that I’m 26, not 18, and now just the thought of Fireball whisky is enough to make my stomach turn.
